Lincoln Trail Career Centers provide you with employment support from job searching and application assistance to on-the-job training and education.
- Job Openings
- The Lincoln Trail Career Center partners, such as the Office of Employment and Training, will assist you in finding currnet job openings in the area and outside the local area if you are willing to relocate.
- Our Project RENEW program matches unemployed workers who are interested in pursuing a new career with employers who have full-time job openings.
- Application Assistance
- Your application is your first impression to prospective employers. Career Center counselors are on hand to help with your resume, cover letter and other materials that will give you an edge on the competition.
- Education and Workforce Training
- If you are contemplating a career change, or need additional training, the Career Centers offer affordable employment and training services. The federal Workforce Investment Act Program provides employment and training services aimed to help increase employment, retention, earnings and occupational skills of job seekers needing assistance in their career transition. Career Center partners who can assist you in this effort include the Lincoln Trail Area Development District, Kentucky Adult Education, the Office of Employment and Training, Kentucky Community and Technical Colleges, St. Catharine College and the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation
- Adult education
- With access to government resources, such as Kentucky Adult Education, you can easily continue your education, whether you want to prepare for the GED, take adult education and literacy classes, or learn English as a second language.
- Workplace skills
- The Careers Centers partners Kentucky Adult Education, Office of Employment and Training, Elizabethtown Community & Technical College and the Lincoln Trail Area Development District provide you with essential skills such as as communication, financial and computer literacy, critical thinking and problem solving.
By using the Lincoln Trail Career Centers, job seekers have access to skills training, recruitment and job search services on a case-by-case basis, and grant opportunities to help achieve career goals.
