Job Seekers Services
Job seekers have direct access to computerized information about everything from jobs to specialized assistance and training programs at the Lincoln Trail Career Centers. The staff is also available to access the most recent labor market information, on-the-job training opportunities and offer other employment-related assistance.
- Job openings
- The Lincoln Trail Career Centers work with local and state agencies, such as the Office of Employment and Training, to assist job seekers in finding employment.
- Application assistance
- The Career Center staff assists job seekers with applications and resumes in order to improve the final product or help create the necessary materials for a job opening.
- Education and training
- At the Lincoln Trail Career Centers, job seekers can learn about employment and training services. The Centers work with local agencies, learning centers and universities, such as Kentucky Adult Education, the Office of Employment and Training, Kentucky Community and Technical Colleges, St. Catharine College and the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation to provide affordable education and training for job seekers.
- Adult education
- Through access to government resources, such as Kentucky Adult Education, job seekers are able to prepare individually for the GED and can find classes in adult education and literacy, as well as English as a second language.
- Workplace skills
- The Careers Centers work with Kentucky Adult Education, Office of Employment and Training and the Lincoln Trail Area Development District to provide job seekers with essential skills at work sites and in local learning centers.
- Workforce training
- The Workforce Investment Act Program is a federal law intended to provide employment and training services in order to increase employment, retention and earnings of participants and increase occupational skill attainment by participants.
By using the Lincoln Trail Career Centers, job seekers have access to skills training, recruitment and job search services on a case-by-case basis, and grant opportunities to help achieve career goals.
